All volunteers use the FIRST VIMS system to apply for roles.

The table below is maintained by Jill/Sherri to just give you visibility on the current assignment status so that you can apply for a role that is still needed (and in theory at least, reduce the number of emails back and forth).   IMPORTANT:  All volunteers must register in VIMS, apply for a role at the specific tournament event and (if over 18 years old) pass the FIRST required background screen –  there can not be any substitutions of the team’s adult volunteers during the tournament day due to the background screening requirement instituted by FIRST.

Please do not apply for the “Assign Me as Needed” role – there is no good way for us to assign you into a specific role from that one.  If you are flexible,  apply for one of the roles below that are available and add a comment that you are flexible to fill another role.

The list of roles that are open for a team’s adult volunteer to apply to are listed below.  There are other roles that the team volunteer should not apply for ->  Link for the listing of roles that the team volunteer should NOT apply to fill.
Please make sure that the volunteer adds the correct FLL team association either in the VIMS “Expertise” section OR in the volunteer comment box  (labeled,  “Time Availability/Comments”).

Red cell background ( #f28383 )  helps to visually show you the filled positions.

If you need to reach either Jill or Sherri about questions related to volunteering or your assignment,  you can email:  fllvolunteer@playingatlearning.org

Note that if your team’s volunteer has applied for a role but has not been assigned, it means one of 2 things:

1.  their background screening has not been completed – they can check on their status by logging into VIMS.  Also they should receive email saying that their screening has been completed.

or
2. they have applied for role(s) that are not eligible for the team volunteer  (such as “Assign Me as Needed”).

Also note that if the coach applies for a role other than bringing a Challenge table (for judging or pit practice) and/or helping with setup, it will be ignored.
